On September 7th, 1990 Michael Harrison was financially devastated. A combination of bad decisions, the property crash and the Australian recession obliged him to appoint a receiver to his Private Bank.
He was forced to sell his family home, valued at more than $2 million. He resigned from the Adelaide City Council and three government boards and at the age of 48 was flat broke.
Less than a year later he was the author of one of Australia’s most acclaimed books about selling, the Deputy Lord Mayor of Adelaide and a sought after speaker and consultant.
About Michael Harrison: Michael Harrison is chairman of Synchron, Australia’s most successful privately-owned dealer group with over 450 advisers.
